Rose Tinted Christmas is a modern range with a colour palette of soft rosy pinks and a festive feel, and this is a great contrast to Christmas Wishes, which is a bright collection of cheerful colours and images, all based around bright reds and greens. | ![]() |
| Dovecraft Wonderboard Video |
| Dovecraft Wonderboard The Dovecraft Wonderboard makes producing cards and boxes quick and easy. It's simple to use, lightweight and portable, and comes complete with a scoring and embossing tool. Included with the Dovecraft Wonderboard is an 8 page instruction booklet full of project ideas to get you started. Learning how to produce professional creases and folds can give a new dimension to your paper craft projects, and once the technique is mastered it's a design feature that costs nothing. One side of the Dovecraft Wonderboard is designed for card and paper and the other for box making, so whether you want to make a professional gatefold, slim line, single fold, tri fold or any number of boxes, the clear guides make it simple, and the result - stylish cards and boxes every time. |
![]() |
| The Dovecraft Wonderboard has fixed grooves and is also supplied with an embossing tool. Following the instructions for your chosen project, place your card or paper face down on the board, positioned where the score line needs to be, and using the embossing tool put light pressure onto the cardstock. It then stretches the paper / cardstock down into the groove to produce a crisp clean line. A top tip here - if the scoreboard is giving a dragging or sticking sensation then use either a little wax on the card stock, a t-light candle or even a bar of soap can be used here (if you use a nice scented one you get scented cardstock too) take the card off the board and using the folder, put pressure onto the crease so it lays nice crisp and flat - there you have it, perfect folds and creases every time |

| Into the garden... Step into summer with the gorgeous new Secret Garden collection from Papermania. Jo Dumbleton goes all green-fingered! Summer is my favourite season, when the garden is in full bloom and warm days mean relaxation and soaking up the sun's rays. The new Papermania 'Secret Garden' range will inspire you to make cards and scrapbook pages that will blend beautifully with themes of gentle country walks, blackberry picking, picnics or simply spending time enjoying your garden. The scrummy patterned papers in green, white, brown and blue give a cool crisp feel that's perfect for this time of year. They're available in 6 x 6", 12 x 12" and 2 x 12" border strips, and with gorgeous swirls, fun foliage, cute birdies and adorable little owls, you are guaranteed to want the whole collection. There are also co-ordinating alphabet stickers, ribbon stickers and some amazing felt ribbon along with printed acetate sheets and some very sweet clear stamps. Here are some brilliant ideas to get you started. |
| Floral Birthday Wishes with Secret Garden 1 Take one of the swirly patterned 'Secret Garden' border strips and stick it across the lower portion of a yellow square card blank, leaving approximately 4cm of card below it. 2 Place a spotty piece of 'Secret Garden' sticky ribbon along the bottom edge of the patterned paper. Tie a green piece of organza ribbon vertically around the left side of the card, and then put a stripy length of Papermania ribbon horizontally over the top of the organza ribbon. 3 Spell out the words 'birthday wishes' on the right-hand side of the card using these cute, new Doodlebug rub-on letters. 4 Stamp and then emboss a small flower to the right of the words using the new 'Secret Garden' clear stamps with the new Papermania mini pigment ink pads (they come in very handy packs of three) and clear Heat It Up! embossing powder. Colour in your flower with Whispers brush markers. 5 On white cardstock, stamp and emboss three more flowers. Colour them in and then cut them out. 6 Adhere three large fabric flowers to the card and use 3D foam pads to stick the stamped flowers to their centres. 7 Add adhesive gems to the centres of the stamped flowers, and also add them along the top edge of the patterned paper |

Flowerpot With Love Time: 15 minutes This cute card is great to make for any avid gardener's birthday or special occasion. The card would also work really well as an invite to a summery garden party, barbecue or picnic. 1 Cut two rectangles of the lovely new 'Secret Garden' patterned papers slightly smaller than an A6 brown card. Cut them diagonally and stick one of each pattern to the card. 2 Cut a piece of white card to 10 x 5.5cm and draw a border just inside the edge using a brown Whispers brush marker. Mat on to green Core'dinations textured cardstock. Use a paper piercer from the handy Papermania tool accessory set to push holes along the edges of the green card. 3 Add the words 'with love' using these cute Doodlebug Design rub-on letters. Use a Papermania adhesive stone heart for the 'o' of 'love'. 4 Cut and stick a piece of green rick-rack on to the white card and add one of the Secret Garden flowerpot chipboard shapes on top. 5 From the wider strip of the yummy new Papermania felt ribbon, cut one large flower and two small ones. Stick the large flower at the top of the rick-rack stem, adding buttons in the centre, and randomly place the two smaller ones adding small adhesive stones. 6 Put 3D foam pads to the matted card and stick on to the main card. 7 Using a Crop-A-Dile, punch a large hole into the card as far as the tool will reach. Tie a short length of pink floral ribbon in a knot to fi nish. Green Happy Birthday Time: 15 minutes Whenever you want to pick out the patterns or fl ourishes in a piece of designer paper, use trails of Anitas 3D Clear Gloss as this will add some height and shine to the pattern. It looks just fab on this pretty green card. 1 Take an A6 white card blank and cut a piece of light green Coredinations textured cardstock slightly smaller and stick on the front. Cut a pieceof the 6 x 6" swirly patterned Secret Garden paper a bit smaller again and layer on top. 2 Apply Anita's 3D clear gloss carefully to the paper's swirls. 3 Once the gloss is dry, measure a piece of pink fl oral ribbon to tie around the bottom of the card and secure in place using a handy E-Z Runner. 4 Hand write or stamp your sentiment on to white card, cut into a small tag shape and mat on to fuchsia Core'dinations cardstock. Punch a small hole in the end with the Crop-A-Dile. 5 Use embroidery thread to tie the tag on to a button, then stick this in the centre of a Papermania fabric flower. 6 Add small pink adhesive stones to complete. |

| Clear Winners with Secret Garden Acetate gives another dimension to your projects and is a fun way to add windows and shaker boxes to your cards, or you could make a special card using only acetate. These scrumptious new printed acetate sheets from Papermania, which come in packs of fi ve, match the new 'Secret Garden' and 'Sweet Nothings' collections. They are also perfect for giving scrap layouts a crisp, fresh and different feel, to make them stand out from your paper layouts. You can also protect your precious photos by laying acetate over the top of them. And for a quick make, a few sheets bound together with ribbon will make a perfect little mini book. Acetate is easy to use and can be folded in all sorts of ways. The possibilities are endless. Mum Shaker Card Time: 15 minutes 1 Cut the flowery acetate sheet to 8.5 x 6" and fold in half. 2 Cut 3.5 x 3.5" of plain acetate and stick 3D foam squares along each edge. Lay buttons and chipboard shapes on the 'card'. Adhere plain acetate on top. 3 Cut thin strips of dotty paper and adhere it to the acetate so that it hides the foam pads on the acetate square. 4 Stick a 3.5" square of gingham paper to the inside of the card to hide the foam pads. Adhere a green Doodlebug paper frill and a purple paper flower strip to the bottom of the acetate square. 5 Tie a bow with green ribbon and stick to the left of the box, adding a chipboard butterfly above the bow. Spell 'Mum' along the bottom of the card with cardstock stickers. Flowerpot For You Time: 10 minutes 1 Cut a piece of owl acetate to 8.5 x 6" and fold in half to make a card. Tear a strip of dotty paper and stick on the inside. 2 Set a small eyelet in a flowerpot chipboard shape and put a piece of green thread through. Stick on the front of the card, add chipboard leaves and attach a fabric flower with a brad to the top end of the thread stem. 3 Spell 'for you' using 'Secret Garden' alphabet stickers. |

| Summer Days Scrapbook Page with Secret Garden All the papers and chipboard shapes in the 'Secret Garden' collection work really well on summery scrap pages, and here I've combined them with fabric flowers and more of that gorgeous new felt ribbon. 1 Cut brown fl oral patterned paper to 18 x 23cm and stick to the left side of a 12 x 12" piece of white cardstock. 2 Take two of the 2 x 12" border strips and cut one to 8" (green leaves) and the other to 10" (green swirls). Place them in an 'L' shape on top of the brown patterned paper. 3 Cut fuchsia Core'dinations cardstock to 10" and tear along the long edge to show the core colour. Stick this over the green swirl border strip. 4 Print out your photo (mine is 18 x 13cm) and leave the white border around the edge. Alternatively, you can mat your photograph on to a piece of white cardstock. 5 Use the 'Secret Garden' die-cut alphabet stickers to spell out the title for your scrapbook page. 6 Add some flowery felt ribbon and silk flowers, securing some to the page with brown brads and sticking the others on with double-sided tape, adding buttons to the flower centres. 7 Finish the page by adding a variety of different chipboard shapes. As an extra special touch, I've added a flight trail to the end of the butterfl y. I did this by simply pushing a line of tiny holes into the cardstock with a paper piercer from the Papermania tool set. |

| Happy Birthday To You This pretty yet simple A6 card is made by first mounting two pieces of contrasting Sweet Nothings patterned paper on to a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than an A6 card. I inked up the edges of the pieces of paper before sticking and cut the paper to leave a slight white border. On this white edge, Ive doodled my striped border (see below for more details on this). I added small black brads to the four corners and tied a piece of ribbon around the panel then mounted it on the card using 3D foam pads. I then cut out the heart message rectangle from one of the pieces of patterned paper and double-mounted this on to white cardstock and more plain pink patterned paper, inking up the edges and adding a doodled dot-dash border. I then added the Happy Birthday greeting from another piece of patterned paper and the to you using Sweet Nothings alphabet stickers to finish. Time: 15 minutes |
| Girlie Tag First I cut a simple tag shape from white cardstock and covered it with two pieces of contrasting patterned paper. I glued ribbon across the tag to cover the paper join and tiedribbon and BasicGrey fibers through the hole punched in the top. I then added Sweet Nothings chipboard shapes and spelt my friends name with Doodlebug rub-on letters Time: 5 minutes |

Adhere the cupcake acetate behind this gap, using doublesided tape along the edges. 3 Stick a rectangle (3 x 4") of cupcake paper to the bottom of the card's front. Add a 1" strip of striped paper to the left-hand edge and add a chipboard 'Sweet Nothings' pink strip. 4 Mount the 'Happy Birthday' die-cut to white card and cut out. Add three pink brads to the bottom right corner. Adhere to the bottom of the card using Stick It! 3D foam dots. 5 Tie pink ribbon down the left side of the card. Colour the icing on the acetate cupcake with Whispers permanent pens, and colour the cherry on the cake in with red Glitz It glitter glue. | Papermania gets a makeover...
The Papermania brand has undergone a makeover and the team have been working extra hard on some stunning new products.
This summer sees the launch of four collections: ‘Sweet Nothings’, ‘Secret Garden’, ‘A Wonderful Christmas Time’ and ‘Naughty & Nice’, each including patterned papers, clear stamps, felt ribbon, ribbon stickers, alphabet stickers, chipboard shapes and printed acetate sheets.
|
| It's cool to be clear! This season’s hottest new trend is ‘clear’, and we’ve enthusiastically joined the see-through revolution with plenty of new crafting goodies. A great idea from Papermania are these printed 12 x 12” acetate sheets, designed to match the four new Papermania collections: ‘Secret Garden’ (flowers, leaves and owls), ‘Sweet Nothings’ (cupcakes, sweets and pastels), ‘Naughty & Nice’ and ‘A Wonderful Christmas Time’ (contemporary and traditional seasonal collections). They’re just £3.99 per five-pack. To continue the four themes of the acetate sheets, you could also opt for the Papermania clear stamps, in four designs at just £7.99 per pack. Clear stamps can also be found in the new Anita’s range. They’re great value at just £9.99, including an acrylic block, available in two designs. Now you’ve got the ‘clear’, you just need ideas! |
| All new Anita's Hot on the heels of the makeover of Papermania, we’re excited to see that another of our favourite craft brands, Anita’s, has also got a whole new look. The new logo and packaging comes at the same time as the company behind our favourite outline stickers showcase their lovely new clear stamps, 3D ‘Dimensions’ stickers, reels of pretty ribbon, patterned papers and gorgeous vellums, as well as bumper packs of card blanks for our favourite craft. |
